Product Description

A superb African coffee from Tanzania, peaberry refers to an undeveloped bean which does not split in half within the coffee cherry. It is a light bodied, small, round and dense bean with intense flavor and aroma.

I roast this Tanzania Peaberry on the light side. Floral and citrus notes are enhanced in this very smooth coffee. It is grown on the lower slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Great soil and climate combined with a light roast profile make this one of the three coffees I tend to take home with me. However, please take that in the context that I personally enjoy light roasted coffee the most. What I like might not be what you enjoy!

Altitude: 4,500 - 6,000 ft above sea level

Harvest Period: Main Harvest: October - December; Fly crop: June - August

Process: Typically fully washed, dried on raised beds


Cupping Notes: Round body, solid acidity, cherry, pleasant drying finish

Aroma:  Floral notes 

Flavor: Blackcurrant, citrus fruit, coconut, and pineapple

Body: round

Acidity: Intense brightness and high acidity
